Belton hosts a bustling family run diamond of a garden centre and restaurant, just outside of Grantham in Lincolnshire. It’s setting is in the old 18th century walled gardens of Belton House which was built around the 16th Century. The walls are 16 feet high, built hollow to host the boilers to heat the exotic fruiting trees on the other side back in the day.
The centre hosts some pleasantly surprising wildlife. As you enter the grounds you’ll discover majestic peacocks and chickens, inside there’s an ample aquatic centre with a fairly good selection of fish breeds and outdoor pond paraphernalia.
