Last weekend I took a visit over to Hodsock Priory in Notts to visit the famous Hodsock Snowdrops. The winter gardens were beautiful, with plenty of cyclamen and hellebores. I have never seen quite as many snowdrops in one place. Hodsock has been inhabited for around 2000 years. In 1086 it was recorded in the Domesday book and each owner since has passed on their mark. Henry VIII visited in 1541 which must have been a grand affair.
